The final week!
I spent all of Monday working on Christmas themed reels for Macy and Tailor based on creative briefs written by Rubi herself, as the Account Manager had not begun writing the content plan for December yet.
My last day was spent doing a lot of different tasks. I made updates to the reels for November after receiving feedback from Rubi; created two reels for Sistema, one animated, one filmed; and created a reel for Dog Rocks. I tried to be as helpful as I could to the whole creative team.
I had a review meeting in the afternoon with Rubi and Lauren, who is the Creative Strategist and manager of the creative team. They asked a range of questions seeking my feedback about my time as an intern for The Social CliQ, and what they could do to improve the experience for future interns. I also received great feedback from both of them. Rubi said the only thing I need to improve is to have more confidence in my work. I was honest with them about not enjoying the work for social media marketing, but that I would be very keen to work with them again in some capacity in the future. Lauren said they have put me at the top of their list for any website design or similar jobs that may come their way in the future on a freelance basis.
The last day was a wonderful end to the internship. I’m grateful for the experience I’ve gained working in an agency and getting so much hands-on experience with graphic design and animation. I feel more confident in my general creative abilities, and my future prospects after I graduate.
