Week 8: Mon 11 Sep & Thur 14 Sep

Internship Log Book

Following on from the work I was doing last week, I continued working through the October content plan for Dog Rocks. I received more feedback on graphics I had made, only a few requiring small adjustments.

I was beginning to understand the entire feedback process. The first point of contact would be my supervisor, Rubi. She has a great understanding of the clients I’m working with as she has been designing their social media content for some time now.

Once my graphics are approved by Rubi, it then goes to the Account Manager for that client, who is the person who initially writes the brief for each month’s content plan. Rubi has told me she has received positive feedback from the Account Manager for Macy and Tailor for the graphics I created for their October content plan.

The final review then goes to the client before the content plan is finalised and scheduled to upload to Instagram and/or Facebook through a software called Sked. Both the designer (Rubi) and the Account Manager have access to the client’s comments. Usually, the kind of feedback they receive from clients is that they don’t like the concept of a particular post, or simple text changes that need to be made.

I thought there would be more chances of something getting lost in translation considering feedback is moving between multiple parties, but The Social CliQ has an excellent process of doing things and very open communication lines between departments.
